TAG's Leadership

Michelle L. Bowers

Executive Director

Realizing the desperate need to support the very foundation of education, (TAG) Teachers Appreciation Guild was born in May of 2018. Michelle recognized the growing rate of teachers leaving along with the level of frustration within the profession and accepted the call to step in and help. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she set out to take a stand against the bad behavior and negativity teachers are facing and is committed to providing positive changes for them.

Michelle has taught students from Pre-K to middle school in private, public and home school settings. She is the author of “The Unforgettable Teacher’s Journey”, a member of Toastmasters International and the Association of Professional Educators. She also holds a Bachelors Degree from University of North Texas and Master of Liberal Arts degree from Dallas Baptist University.

Our Core Values

TAG wholeheartedly believes in the valuable work that teachers do. Without a strong foundation of education in place, societies would not be able to sustain. Therefore, from pre-K -12, teachers must receive the necessary support and advocacy to ensure their success.

Furthermore, TAG is driven by three core values that support their mission:
